It’s the Mean Girls BOOK TAG!
I think like any other teenage girl, I am a fan of Mean Girls! I was showed this movie before I started High School as a funny way of preparing me for this 4 year journey. When I found out about the MEAN GIRLS BOOK TAG I was so excited and knew that I just had to do this tag! So without further or do, my MEAN GIRLS Book Tag! ❤
1)“It’s pronounced like Cady.” – Which fictional characters name did you get completely wrong?
Patch Cipriano. Oh Patch! I love you, but your last name is a tricky one. I have said it completely wrong for the longest time. I ended up asking this kid in my art group who new some Italian how to pronounce it, and turns out I still can’t say it. I think I will just stick with his first name. That’s good enough. Right?!
2)“She doesn’t even go here!” – Which character would you like to place in a fiction world from another book or series?
I would place Juliette from the Shatter Me series in the world of The Darkest Minds! I think Juliette’s ability would work well with Ruby’s. They could kick some serious butt together. I think they are both such great characters, and that they would work well together and could easily be friends. Okay, too late I (friend) ship it! RUBY & JULIETTE. Like Batman and Robin or Castle & Beckett!
3)“On Wednesday’s we wear pink!”- Repetition. Repetition. Which book gave you dejavu of another book while reading it?
When I was reading Fire and Flood by Victoria Scott I found myself comparing it to The Hunger Games quite a bit, simply because the bases of the competition was similar to The Games. Groups also pare up and become teams like in THG. The parallels didn’t bother me because the stories are very different and have their own unique story.
4)“You’ve got to stop calling each other ***** and ******. It just makes it okay for guys to call you ***** and ******. – Which book gave you the complete opposite of girl power feels?
Reading The Duff, I didn’t get many Girl Power feels. While I enjoyed the book for the most part, the main character has repetitive relations with a jock that she has grown up next door too and has a huge crush on. I felt like she partially didn’t respect herself very much and lessened herself to feel good about their relationship. This lasted until the end of the book when she comes to realize that being called a “duff” doesn’t mean anything important and she shouldn’t let that define who she is and how she acts.
5)“You go Glen Coco!”- Name a character that you felt like you wanted to cheer on while reading?
CELAENA SARDOTHIEN! When I read Throne of Glass I was rooting for Celaena like crazy and I still do. She is such a phenomenal character. Her strength, abilities, heart, and will to fight are such admirable qualities. She is a joy to read about because she is so awesome! I love her fierceness. On top of all that, she is an expert assassin! ❤ Ahhhhh!
6)“Get in loser, were going shopping!”- How long does it normally take you when shopping at a book store?
Restricted and being held back by friends/parental authorities; 30 minutes. Left to roam and with no time restriction; an hour…. maybe 2!?! It’s not my fault there are so many books…. and coffee. Barnes and Noble is HEAVEN! You don’t even want to see me when I get to go to book people! Yikes! 🙂
Jace Morgenstern, Wayland, Lightwood, Herondale! He has stolen my heart and I am obsessed with him. My golden haired, obnoxious, witty, beautiful Jace! Jace would need a restraining order on me! Need evidence of his awesomeness? Look no further:
“I LOVE YOU AND I WILL LOVE YOU UNTIL I DIE. AND IF THERE’S A LIFE AFTER THAT I WILL LOVE YOU THEN.”
-JACE “City of Glass”
8)“I can’t help it that I’m popular.”- Which over hyped book where you cautious about reading?
I was cautious about reading Fallen by Lauren Kate because there is so much hype about the book, positive and negative. I was pressured into reading it and in the end I didn’t really like the book. It wasn’t horrible but when I tried book two I was disappointed and gave up after 5 chapters.
9)“She’s a life ruiner. She ruins peoples lives.”- We all love Regina George. Name a villain you just love to hate.
Ooohhh! The Darkling from Shadow and Bone. As much as I do hate him, I also love him. He is mysterious and just perfect. He’s super cute too which is a plus. You have to read it to understand why, but when you do you will. He is a great character! Love this guy ❤
10)“I’m not like a regular Mom, I’m a cool Mom.” – Your favorite fictional parents.
I absolutely love Sophia and Henry Caine from A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray! More specifically, her Dad. He reminded me a lot of my father which is why I loved his character and his relationship with Marguerite. He had traits that my Dad has and Gray captured that in a great quote that tugged at my heart strings!
“All the little irritations I ever had with my dad—the way he refused to let me borrow the car, or made fun of my addiction to the Vampire Diaries, or sometimes just would not stop doing the Monty Python Spanish Inquisition bit—none of it mattered, not in the least.” -MARGUERITE
11)“That is so Fetch!” – Which book or series would you love to catch on?
I would LOVE for Velvet by Temple West to get more popular! This book was great and even better that I expected. I loved this book so much! The love story was beautifully told and West balanced it perfectly with the paranormal vampire world that took part in it. You guys should check it out, I highly recommend this book! ❤
12)“How do I even begin to explain Regina George?” – Describe your ideal character to read about.
My ideal character is some one can be headstrong and get the job done, but inst afraid to cry and show emotion. I also appreciate when that character is realistic and is relateable. I think books are more enjoyable when it is easy to connect to because then it makes the characters that much easier to love. When I find pieces in books. of characters, that I understand personally, it makes reading it a lot more fun.
13)““I just have a lot of feelings.” – What do you do when a book gives you a bad case of ‘the feels’?
Honestly, I let it out. Some people make themselves not react or have the strength to let it go. I CANT DO THAT. THE FEELS ARE TOO MUCH! I have learned from personal experience that it is just easier to let it all out and allow yourself to react, whether that’s crying or being in solitude for hours like a mental person. Both are acceptable… And of course you would the internet would help, a distraction. But all you do is find gifs and post with all of those feels to keep your feelings in a whirlwind. It creates what DanIsNotOnFire calls a “feeling-splosion.”
14)“Nice wig Janice, what’s it made of?” “Your Mom’s chest hair!” – Which characters one liners would you love to claim for your own?
I would love Cassia from Matched’s one liners. She as some of the most beautiful quotes and statements in that series. Her language and knowledge of literature and beauty shape her words. I love all of her quotes!
“In a story, you can turn to the front and being again and everyone lives once more.”
― Ally Condie,
15)“Boo you. *****.”- Name a time a characters decision(s) has made you roll your eyes?
When I read Romeo & Juliet by the lovely William Shakespeare I loved the story! Its a beautiful tale, however some of the decisions made by Juliet, Romeo, and The Friar. Drive me crazy. If they had waited longer and planned better, maybe they wouldn’t have died! 😦
I hope you all enjoyed and if you are interested in doing this tag fell free too! 🙂 Thanks for reading!
