Hey Book-nerds! I was tagged by the lovely author and blogger Sara of WhatANerdGirlSays to do the Fall Book Challenge which was originally created by Alex of People Like Books!  This tag looked like so much fun, so I am excited that I got to participate and do it. Thank you for tagging Sara! 🙂

Fall is my favorite time next to winter because I love the cold, I love my pants & boots, I love warm coffee, and I love curling up in my blankets to read books!

Speaking of books in the fall let’s move on to the tag! 🙂

  1. All-time favorite book/series

My all-time favorite series is The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. I fell in love with this series three years ago and I haven’t been able to let go of it since. It is till my favorite series and it means the world to me.

  1. Match your favorite song with a Book

All Time Low- Love Feels like War matched with; Daughter of Deep Silence

Daughter of Deep Silence by Carrie Ryan
Daughter of Deep Silence by Carrie Ryan

The lyrics go perfectly with the book and its story. When I heard it and saw a picture I had taken of the book I thought, “This is the one.” I love All Time Low and I’m a huge rock, heavy metal, hardcore music fan so it’s perfect! ❤

  1. When You Buy Books, Do You Judge Them Based on Their Cover?

Who doesn’t judge a book by its cover? I try not to, but that’s honestly how books attract me. It’s how the cover looks. It draws me to them in a compelling sense. However if I’m not initially drawn to the cover and I like the story I will give it a shot. Sometimes I do buy books solely of the cover though.

  1. How Do You Treat Your Books?

As if they were my children. When people ask to borrow them I layout all my guidelines and you’re lucky I don’t make you sign something. I care a lot about my books because not only were they gifted to me by people I love but some of them I spent my own money on. Books, my books, mean a lot to me and I want to treat them right!

  1. All-time favorite authors?

Cassandra Clare, Alexandra Bracken, Leigh Bardugo, Suzanne Young, Sarah J. Mass, Carrie Ryan! They are all fantastic women and writers whose work as swept me away and awed me!

  1. Name Only ONE Book You Would Recommend to People Who Never Read Books

I would recommend Fire and Flood by Victoria Scott! It’s a great book and the pace of this book is very fast. The plot also isn’t complicated and a lot of fun. I think this is a small book that is fantastic for people who are stepping into reading.

  1. What is a Book That You Wish had a Better Ending?

I really wish Hush Hush had a better ending. Now don’t get me wrong I do love the end and it’s a good one, but there was a situation between the characters that wasn’t written and I wish would have been because there was a lot of hints to it, but we never actually got a scene of it.

  1. Biggest Book on Your Bookshelf.

It’s a tie between City of Heavenly Fire, Heir of Fire, and my complete works of Edgar Allen Poe.

  1. What are the First Two Books on Your Wish list?                                                                                                     1. Ten Thousand Skies Above You (Firebird #2) by Claudia GrayTTSABY cover

I absolutely adored the 1st book in this series “A Thousand Pieces of You” and I have been dying ever since I finished it for book two to come out so I can read it!

2. Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices #1) by Cassandra Clare

coverI love the world of Shadowhunter and Cassandra Clare’s books. I am thrilled to read this series and to get back to reading books in the shadowhunter/Nephilim world! This series sounds fantastic and I have loved both her TMI series and TID series.

  1. Do You Prefer e-Readers or real books?

Real books! Nothing beats the real books! I love flipping pages, putting in my book mark, holding the book, all that nerdy stuff.

  1. Favorite October Read?

My favorite October read would have to be The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer series! What’s spookier than weird powers, questionable deaths, and playing with a Ouija board? This series has its creepy elements and other worldly elements that make this series a spook-tacular read!

  1. Favorite Snack to Have While You Read?

life1I LOVE drinking coffee and snaking on fruit or some sort of sweet while reading! ❤ Guilty pleasure, I know. Not the healthiest option for sitting down to read but it’s what I love! ❤

  1. What book Feels like a Knitted Sweater?

velvetVelvet by Temple West is my knitted sweater! This book while having its drama has a great romance with adorable fluff that makes me feel all warm and happy inside!  One of my absolute favorite books and you will devour this fun filled vampire romance!
